HeadSound is a collaborative art project with artists Jackie Passmore & Ross Dalziel and Ali, Wayne, Karen, Alex, Christof and Gordon in Liverpool at FACT in Liverpool http://fact.co.uk
In 2008 the group produced stereo soundscapes based on the experience of travelling through the city of Liverpool. They also created a 4 channel sound installation shown in FACT in December 2008.
HEADSOUND PHASE 2 2009
Stop Motion and the persistence of vision
We started to think about how video and film work and introduced stop motion animation to the group. Below are some rough notes for the project.
24 fps is the rate for film and celluloid
25fps is PAl 29.97 fps is NTSC
Everything on film is an illusion of motion
Legal limits for the frame per second rate: if too high your brain cant differentiate between film and real events..
thats an urban myth , maybe but based on something real...
People talked about subliminal messages hidden in the frame rate...
Flick books
Playing with Time
We will be using framethief on the Mac : an alternative is something like this
Have a look at these examples
